by Robert Shackles (written on their fifth Wedding Anniversary April,
19th. 1952)
Though years may bring
Their changes Dear
One thing time can't do
Is change the deep and
Lasting love I'll always
Have for you.
Good fortunes are measured
Too often, by the material
Things in life.
But my good fortune came to me
The day you became my wife.
Now I'm not a real good poet
As you can see tis true
But the little verse I've written here
Can be for nobody else but you.
